Shopify payout still delayed after verification

You submitted your documents and payouts have not resumed. What Shopify says about review time, status lag, and what to check next.

Review is not instant

Shopify states that a review can take up to 24 hours after documents are uploaded. That is Shopify's own typical ceiling, not a guarantee, and payouts then follow normal settlement timing.

Status can lag

If your store has seller health (Settings > General), Shopify notes that its status may not change right away while submissions are reviewed, and that not every request appears there. Check your email and admin notifications too.

Check whether the upload was accepted

  • Look for a remaining banner in Settings > Payments. If an upload failed, Shopify says the page shows the reason.
  • Check that the details on your account exactly match the document: spelling, middle names, address format.
  • Check whether Shopify asked for more than one person to be verified (owners, directors or executives in some regions).
  • Make sure two-step authentication is on; Shopify lists it as a reason payouts may be held.

Other things that pause payouts

A recent bank account change pauses payouts for a period Shopify gives as 3 to 5 business days, and a separate bank ownership check may also be needed. A reserve or review can also be in place alongside verification.

Then contact Support

If more than a few business days have passed with no remaining requests showing, contact Shopify Support through the Help Center while logged in. Shopify also says that after the maximum number of upload attempts, you should contact Support.
