Shopify payouts still paused after you fixed the bank account

Fixing the cause is not always the last step

Shopify says that after a failed payout you fix the cause and then reactivate payouts from the Payouts page, and that replacing the bank account reactivates them automatically. If you corrected details on the existing account, check whether payouts still need to be reactivated.

A bank change pauses payouts for a while

Shopify says changing the payout bank account pauses payouts for a period it gives as 3 to 5 business days, and that some regions also require a separate ownership check on the new account, which may ask for a recent bank statement. Count business days only.

More than one hold can apply at once

Shopify's account-holds page lists several separate reasons payouts can be held: missing information, incorrect bank details, product eligibility, business supportability, location-related sanctions, and creditor or legal action. Clearing one does not clear the others. If your bank issue is fixed and payouts are still paused, there may be a second, separate hold.

How to find what is left

• Read every banner on Settings > Payments and the Payouts page, not just the first one.
• Check Settings > General > Seller health, if your store has it, for remaining actions and due dates.
• Search the store owner's inbox, including spam, for any other message from Shopify about payments.
• Ask Support one precise question: "My bank issue is resolved. What other hold or requirement is still on my account?"
